What is a Construction NVQ?
A Construction NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a recognised, work-based qualification designed to assess the competence, skills, and knowledge you already use every day on site. These work-based qualifications are essential for career progression, access to higher-level CSCS cards, and demonstrating professional competence within the construction industry.
NVQs are the most practical route for experienced workers, supervisors and managers to formally achieve the qualifications required for skilled and management positions. Trusted Construction Training helps learners turn existing site experience into a recognised NVQ qualification through a streamlined, supportive assessment process.
Why Choose Trusted Construction Training for Your NVQ?
Trusted work with a small, trusted group of assessors we’ve collaborated with for more than 15 years. These assessors are genuine industry specialists with hands-on experience in the qualification routes they assess.
We provide:
- Expert assessors with real industry experience

How is Your Construction NVQ Assessed?
The NVQ assessment process is flexible and designed around your real job role. The assessor will build a portfolio of evidence, which may include photos, witness testimonies, job records and workplace observations and professional discussions that take place.
The NVQ is closely linked to the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). Completing the correct NVQ level allows you to apply for the Blue Skilled Worker Card, Gold Supervisor Card or Black Manager Card.
