It is our policy at Trusted Construction Training Ltd to ensure that all employees are recruited, trained and promoted on the basis of ability, the requirements of the job and similar objectives and criteria. All delegates and learners will have an equal opportunity to access courses and learning opportunities. In achieving this objective, there will be no discrimination on the grounds of gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, age, race, colour, creed, ethnic or national origins, religion and or belief, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, disability or spent criminal conviction.

This policy will apply equally to all employees and job applicants; i.e. full and part time, those engaged on short-term contracts as well as college-based students, delegates and learners etc.

The company will:

  • Fully recognise its legal obligations under the Sex Discrimination Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Race Relations Act, the Disabled Persons Employments Act, the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and Age Discrimination Act.
  • Periodically review selection criteria and procedures to maintain a consistent approach to appointments and wherever possible adopt measures to attract applications from the wider community.
  • Provide a procedure to enable any employee who believes that inequitable treatment has been applied to him or her within the scope of this policy to raise the matter through their line management.
  • Ensure that employees understand the need for an equal opportunities policy and promote their commitment to it.
  • Ensure that all staff involved in the employment procedures receives training in the application of this policy to ensure they are aware of its contents and provisions.
  • Ensure that all delegates and learners have an equal opportunity to access training and learning and to demonstrate their attainments. We will provide candidates with disabilities and learning difficulties, the same access to training and assessment as any other candidates.

This Policy is reviewed yearly by the Trusted management team, however overall responsibility for monitoring the effectiveness of this policy lies with the Managing Director.
